The art of storytelling is brought to life by Don and Bonnie as
they take you on a perilous journey from slavery to freedom. Through
story and song, children will be taken on an educational and entertaining
trip back in time.

The Honourable Josiah Henson
A play portraying the life of Josiah Henson, performed by the
Asbury United Methodist Church
will tell the inspirational story of one
man’s victory over oppression and his eventual escape to freedom in
Canada.

The Honourable Lincoln M. Alexander, former Lieutenant-Governor of
Ontario and Chairman of the Ontario Heritage Trust,
followed by a book
signing of his best selling memoir,
“Go To School, You're a Little
Black Boy”: The Honourable Lincoln M. Alexander: A Memoir

Unveiling of new interpretive signage

Where Body meets Soul
Destiny through Praise Dance Ministry, under the leadership of
Katherine Blakely,
will creatively interpret and express gospel music
through movement and dance.

Henson House with the exception of Don and Bonnie,

two storytelling sessions for children in the North Star Theatre.
